Early-stage tech investor · Berlin
Flectry invests at the earliest stage in technology companies that take a new angle on a big problem. Founded by an operator who spent nine years helping build a company from its first hire to its exit.
Why Flectry
A prism takes the same light everyone else sees and sends it somewhere new. That is what great founders do with a market, and it is the moment we want to be there for.
Everyone looks at the same market. The founders we back notice what others walk past.
A new angle can change the direction of a whole industry. Small inputs, outsized trajectory.
Insight is worth little until it ships. We back people who turn ideas into action, fast.
Who we back
You challenge the consensus because you have looked harder, not to be contrarian.
You keep asking why, and you aim for the version of the company that changes a market.
You ship, learn and ship again. Momentum is visible week to week.
You make the hard decisions, and you own them when it matters most.
You are building something that did not exist before, not a better copy of what does.
You care about the team and culture that will still be standing in ten years.
How I help
I spent nine years on the inside of a company as it grew from a handful of people to an acquisition. This is what I bring to the founders I back.
Your first 10, 50 and 100 hires: who to look for, when to hire, and how to keep great people.
Org design, processes and an operating rhythm that grow with you instead of slowing you down.
A sparring partner for the decisions founders lose sleep over: people, priorities, pivots.
A bias to shipping. Turning plans into progress you can see every week.
About
I joined Phiture as its first employee, when it was little more than an idea. Over the next nine years I became its third founder, then Managing Director and Partner, helping grow a Berlin mobile growth consultancy into an internationally recognised firm, through to its sale to Precis Digital.
Along the way I learned what really decides whether a company works: the people you hire, the structure you build around them, and the hard decisions nobody else can make for you. I also hold a doctorate in innovation management, so I have studied how new things win as well as done it.
Flectry is the investor I wanted when we were building: someone who has done the hard parts, tells you the truth, and picks up the phone.
What we invest in
Flectry is new. The founders I back first will shape what it becomes, and get my fullest attention.
Send a short note: what you're building, why now, and why you. A deck helps but isn't required. I read every email and reply to every founder.
